League Match Newcastle v Hansworth

All M & J Under 16s

Newcastle 29 – Hansworth 5

First League match of the season and first ever game against Hansworth. The opposition had an imposing set of forwards, however Newcastle soon started to dominate the match. The forwards scored the first try with a drive dominated by Michal Zurawski to be followed with a diving try through the opposition defence by Flanker Declan Hinchcliffe. Further tries were scored by members of a daunting set of backs: Dominic Ellerton and Joseph Frost, two of which were converted. The half time score was 15 – 0, but Hansworth kept their heads up and came back with a drive over try during the second half. All in all Newcastle’s performance was a complete team effort and they demonstrated their skills in all quarters.
